New Shoes feat Public Desire

Men, Women, Children whoever regardless of age, interests and personal style we all love a new pair of shoes. Whether it's trainers, heels or those adorable flats you've been eyeing up for weeks. There's no real reason I don't think, it's just nice to add some new shoes to the collection especially if they're a little different to what your used to. I am no different and whilst I purchase unspeakable amounts of clothes each week, the feeling does not quite match that of the one that I experience when I've taken the plunge and bought some new shoe candy (is that a real thing?!) anyway I've has my eye on these platform sandals for some time now, and it seemed that everywhere from River Island to La Moda were selling their own versions, as if to taunt me for not already making the decision to purchase a pair. They're surprising comfortable and I can't help but feel like Sian the BFG with them on, as they add a sufficient amount of height! I haven't been able to take them off since they arrived earlier in the week from www.my1stwish.co.uk who offer a fantastic service might I add.             Enjoy the rest of your weekend good people, happy Sunday.x

The interview outfit

Vest- H&M.
Tube Pant-River Island
Clutch&Sunglasses-Primark
Shoes-LaModa

Just the other day I was ecstatic to find out that I had my first interview for a pr internship, this one lasted 3 months and I was ridiculously nervous before during and then I was filled with dread after. Usually I like to think I'm calm and collected in interviews, but this one in particular couldn't have gone any worse! So to start with I was half an hour late, mentally scarred from the train and I made the decision to wear my most uncomfortable shoes! (Well done Sian) this weather needs to stop being so unpredictable I mean how can a girl dress appropriately when it's arctic one minute and desert like the next! So in true Sian style I went for black and white so before id even arrived my my makeup ws running down my face and I was looking like the mrs doubtfire mask when it got run over. (I hope you know this film because it's my all time favourite) anyway Sian get on with it! The low down is I was a nervous wreck, I caught my jacket on the door and then when asked if I has any questions I asked where the interviewers dress was from! (Sometimes I don't realise why I'm saying clearly) a this week I was lucky enough to find some bargains such as the H&M vest for £4 which I wasn't sure of at first but in sure it'll be great for Magaluf (eeeeeep!) then this adorable clutch bag and sunglasses from Primark I think it came to around £7 for the both of them. I've had a pretty chilled week depending on how I look at it, I won't deny that most days I'm in a frenzy to secure an internship. Although I'm aware from my search for a part time job how tough it is out there right now.                                  Stay cool guys, Happy Friday.x

The Wedding Outfit-Southampton

Yum!
Trousers&trench coat-Missguided      Bag-Ebay.                                          Cami crop-Missselfridge                  Heels-New Look
Last weekend I was thankful to have the weekend free from work, so off I headed to Southampton for my dad's old friends wedding. It was such a wonderful day and I think that the weather was a large contributer to this, as the wedding was held in an old police office so there was a lovely large terrace overlooking the grounds so the sunshine was welcomed by the entire party. It was my first time in Southampton and whilst I didn't see a great deal of the town if seems like a lovely place to be on a sunny day! So for the wedding I wore my trusty misguided trousers they're just so comfy and soon enough there will be nothing in my wardrobe that isn't high waisted! I liked the idea of trouser suits and I was inspired by Kim Kardashians outfit to Kanyes stylists wedding (I never thought I'd say this!) and I thought that the printed floral crop added a punch of colour to the outfit and I felt so feminine which is always a good thing! My new look heels are still a best buy for me as I picked them up last year for £9.99 and I haven't looked back since! I remember even hiding the shoes so that I could buy them after work. It felt like a really fun outfit and my ebay bag was complimented and mistaken for the lulu McGinnes on multiple occasions(not bad for £7 eh?!) I'm considering purchasing all of the available colours. Overall it was a lovely break from work and it's always lovely to see and celebrate lurvee!      Happy Wednesday.x

What's next?

What's next? It's a question that I find myself asking all too often now, both to those around me as well as to myself. With school, college and university students all graduating from their educations at a seemingly fast pace it seems that there's a large amount of us out there with the same questions and for some the same fears and worries! I know that with me I like to constantly have a plan so when my college course finally came to an end a few weeks back whilst I was overwhelmed at the idea of being free from uninterested lecturers and even more unwilling students there was a question in the back of my mind. This being "Oi Sian now college is done what are you going to do all week?!" And whilst I didn't want to turn into a 24/7 worrier, I knew that I needed some sort of plan or direction that I knew I wanted to take. Throughout my years at college on multiple occasions I thought that I had found the answers to the question that never seems to be answered, from a therapist to a Television Producer it's safe to say i'm not one of those people who has had a real passion that could be turned into a career someday. Independence is extremely important and as much as the government and our parents assure us we don't, we are required to think and act responsibly from a fairly young age. My college education was less than beneficial and If i'd know what it was like beforehand I would have seriously reconsidered my choice to attend a college in a completely different area. (I'm From South East London and my college was in Kings Cross) Now i'm not saying this to bash the college i'm just speaking the truth and my determination to succeed is probably down to their lack of encouragement and belief in the students.
I won't sugarcoat this when you leave secondary education, college or university it's best to have a general idea of where you want to be and how you can get on your way to there. Either through work experience placements, internships etc. And if you have a company in mind then great! Contact them and get the ball rolling as soon as possible. A detailed plan is not always necessary although if you have one great, I mean you know more than me! But life is unpredictable and our interests and dreams can change so be willing to take a risk if an opportunity comes along because you might discover a new passion or path that you want to decend upon. Like many others I'm still unsure of where I want to be although I know that fashion is my calling, and I'm willing to try out everything to see what I enjoy. Although retail is definetley not where I want to stay! I'm more than just a little excited to see where my life will take me (I'm hoping Paris?!) and with my extra time at the minute I'm more than happy to focus on blogging and relaxing before I secure a full time placement in somewhere fashiony.
So don't fret guys there's more of us in the same boat than you think, and you know venture around do something crazy and unexpected it's okay! You'll get to where you want to be eventually. (What an inspiring thought) That's it from me today xx

Wear white

Shirt-Bershka
Leather pants-H&M
Sliders-Jdsports
Bomber Jacket&sunglasses-Asos

This Bershka shirt was one of those "I don't need it" stories where I walked away from it when I saw it in store, and I was then sent into a frenzy when I couldn't seem to find it anywhere. (And by anywhere I mean online!) however I was lucky enough to find one of the last few in the Oxford street store and the sizing is fairly big so for once I was able to purchase a size small! anyway I love the simplicity of it and I feel it will be perfect for if/when I get an internship because it's fun and casual yet smart if it needs to be. I went safe for a change and paired it with black everything, although with the delightful temperatures that we experienced yesterday I may need to add some colour and shorts to the mix. This is the bomber jacket I was talking about and although it supposedly makes me look like a bouncer I feel so cool in it! And how better to wear it than draped like a total fashionista, although it is a bugger pulling it up every time the wind strikes! The sliders are getting mixed reactions and certainly my friends and family think that they're hideous, but a girl needs comfort every now and then and these provide just that. I'd like to say I'm sorry for being pretty predictable in the whole mono theme of this outfit, but it's so easy to get into the routine of pairing black and white together. I've always been effortless well i've tried to be although sometimes it ends up looking like I really don't care what I put on my back, but I love laid back fashion so I'm sticking with what I know for now! Hey maybe summer will encourage some prints and colour to enter my life.
Sorry about the lack of location I'll try harder I promise.
Happy Monday.x

LCM Day 3- Feat Tinie&Skepta

The third and final day or London Collections;Men was my favourite day in terms or the atmosphere, the vibe was probably the most chilled that it had been   And people seemed to be really enjoying themselves, then again that could have been thanks to the free bar! It was by far the longest day though as we helped out at three different shows. I was so annoyed that I didn't get to watch the sibling show because I was with the security team, and being an intern I was too scared to strut over and watch the show. But from what I hear and saw from the run through it was certainly crazy. The second show was Xander Zhou in the old sorting office on New Oxford Street. The location was more than impressive and it was different to all of the other shows because the models had to do a full 360. Troy the magician was present so I didn't catch as much of the show as I should have!
The final show was the much anticipated Nazir Mazah and surprisingly a great amount of the onlookers showed up head to toe in Nazir designs. I also just found out that Rihanna was recently spotted in his collection so I'm even more greatful  to have been a part of and had the pleasure or witnessing a genius at work. Skepta was along for the ride and be even took to the catwalk which was a really nice touch! The collection is easily something that I would rock everyday because whilst it's edgy it's not ridiculous, it's still wearable if you get what I mean?! Tinie Tempah was near the bar so I couldn't resist the urge to rub shoulders with celebrity. I don't think I should be allowed even in the same proximity ever again! LCM lands again in January and if any of you have even a tiny interest in fashion I highly recommend applying for internships to work at these shows. Best time of my life! Happy Saturday.x

Somerset house adventure

Top-Miss Selfridge                      Cullottes-Boohoo                               Bag-Ebay
This was the outfit that I wore for my one last excursion to Somerset house to deliver an invitation for my internet ship, and yes it was only one! Which is sadly now over although I'm so excited to tell you that I will be working for the same company for fashion week In September! (I really better start healthy eating about now) sorry for the lack of photos but the look I was getting from the security team was enough to scare me away without posing for some more shots. The adorable embroided culottes are from boohoo although as I have them pulled up as much as possible to hide the pouch it's pretty hard to see. They were a  bargain at £15 and I think they've been reduced since I purchased them, when I saw them I thought they'd be great for my holiday in August and they're so lightweight and comfy that they start to feel like pjamas everytime I have them on! The crop top is from miss Selfridge and as we all know how effortless and cute these thin strapped crops are I'm sure I'll soon have built up quite the collection. I felt particularly girlie in this get up and the pink lips bag which hasn't left my side was the perfect accessory. As summer is with us every so often I've made the decision to stop with the coats and long sleeves oh and black! And edge towards playsuits, cute crops and as much patterned pieces as I can handle! Happy Thursday.x

London Collections: Men's Day 2

The second day saw us interning at the Sir Tom Baker showcase at Club 100 on Oxford Street. Adam ant performed after which was a surprise and although I wasn't all that familiar with him, it was inspirational to see so many people enjoying themselves and singing along. The showcase is formal wear for males so suits really, with unique designs such as skulls and chains that really brought something different. On arrival it was pretty clear that the show was going to be different from what I'm used to. The club is fairly small and is known for out there artists, as you can see the dressing room was covered in signatures from previous artists that have performed there. The show was fairly easy as it was more of the low key show and there a smaller crowd attending, the main purpose was to show the guests to their seats. It was not what I was used to in terms of the more gothic fashion, however the after party with a free bar was really to my liking! Me and a few of the other interns ended up in a bar called "friendly society" in soho, with a few of the other workers from the show which was a really nice place to relax and just sit back for a minute! Speak tomorrow happy Tuesday.x
